Description

Tom Spisz, President and Founder of Shoot For Life, joins the show. Tom, a born and raised citizen of Michigan has put together an outstanding non-profit focusing on helping people with their life-altering illnesses through the shooting sport of archery. Established in 2013, Shoot For Life was created as Tom felt a calling to do something more in life and help people out, especially when he saw people give up and give in to their own personal problems and challenges. Making it official, Shoot For Life became a non-profit in 2015 and hasn't looked back since. BROG, or Bowhunter's Roundup Off Grid, focuses directly on getting veterans outdoors and shooting archery, focusing on the benefits of mental health through focus, determination, and clarity. The Bows for Vets program is working hard to get bows in the hands of deserving veterans and recently gave away a Hoyt compound bow thanks to Hoyt Archery and legendary bowhunter and archer, Cameron Hanes. In this episode we also talk archery, including if 3 vane arrows are better than 4 vane, and what our bow company of preference is based on our shooting style and needs.
