Description

Love Pono Student Assistants Alex and Summer had the wonderful opportunity to invite Akiemi Glenn,
the founder and executive director of the Pōpolo Project. The Pōpolo Project is a Hawai'i-based nonprofit whose work highlights the vivid, complex diversity of Blackness in Hawai’i and around the world.

In this episode, we discuss more about Juneteenth and what it means to be involved in activism in black, queer, and people who identify with both communities. Join us to hear more about this insightful conversation with Dr. Glenn and learn more about the Popolo Project's upcoming Juneteenth events!
