Description

The Black Culture Podcast sits down with entrepreneur, mental health advocate, and founder of Heal The Culture, Roosevelt Stringer Jr.  In this episode, we discuss mental health, the pressures of society, and how we Heal The Culture.

Roosevelt Stringer, Jr. grew up in the Cleveland Hts./University Hts. area, which has affectionately become known as The Heights.    He attended Cleveland Heights High School and then went on to attend Cleveland State University, Kent State University and Bauder College in Atlanta, GA.

Majoring in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Marketing he would eventually put some of what he learned to use starting a faith-based clothing brand named Covenant Army. He owned and operated this Kingdom Lifestyle Brand for 12 Years.

Towards the tail end of running the clothing brand and entering the pandemic, Roosevelt went through a lot of personal growth and development. After being diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the early age of 18 he always had a burning desire to eliminate the stigma associated with mental illness.

Heal The Culture(HTC) was birthed out of this personal experience and the challenges that came with it. HTC is a social enterprise in the mental health and wellness space designed to heal and empower people of color while creating a community and a safe space to hold healthy conversations about their journeys.

Roosevelt is happily married to Laeh Stringer, his wife of 12 years and together they have an amazing 4-year old son named Logan.
