Description

Price and Thee Willie Ashford sit down to talk to legendary Cleveland educator, facilitator, host, advocate and community mentor Lady Gilmore.

LADY GILMORE (AKA "Queen on the Scene") has shown her flexibility acting as host, co-host as well as a guest on numerous television and radio shows including Time Warner Cable's Money Talk; Radio One's WERE, Ronnie Duncan's News Talk 1490; WJMO Cleveland Talk Radio; and Another Look.

Lady Gilmore's latest venture is having her "Queen on the Scene" newspaper column, which was formerly featured in the City News News Paper, come alive via the television screen on TIME WARNER CABLE.

The show used to broadcast weekly. Now the show is available at viewers' fingertips 24/7 by visiting the website www.kazradio.tv Cleveland Online Inspiration.

The concept of the "Queen on the Scene" show is to highlight guests in their own surroundings. The content can cover an array of unsung heroes to speak such as an elder reminiscing about their memorable past from the comfort of their own home or an entrepreneur from the convenience of their business location. "Queen on the Scene features not only" untapped" talent from the Northeast Ohio area but also some professional's known nationally, such as Judge Lynn Toler of Divorce Court and Decision House.

Lady Gilmore has been a facilitator for community forums, fundraisers, workshops, numerous fashion shows, talent shows, gospel music shows, black history month, and Kwanzaa.

She faithfully serves on the working Board of Officers of Women In Need "W.I.N." Ministries and has served on the steering committee of the International Parade Committee; and media/public relations for Mt. Pleasant Heritage House.

She is also a domestic violence advocate and supporter of the Beyond Abuse Project as well as participates in endless volunteering with her church Greater Harvard Avenue Church of God In Christ.

Lady Gilmore also serves as a mentor to several local/national leaders including; former Miss. Black America Cleveland 2011 Maria Payden, and Cleveland's Ward 7 Councilman Basheer S. Jones.

She is the founder of "Follow Your Dreams" a motivational company that has allowed her to propel clients into carrying out their dreams and bringing them to fruition. And, now she has expanded that company to "Follow Your Dreams Daycare Palace," an early learning and child development center.

Lady Gilmore is very active in making a difference in the lives of children. For her "born-day" (December 19), instead of receiving gifts; she does an annual "toy drive" requesting NEW TOYS!

In return, she gives them away to a charity of her choice and children throughout the State of Ohio. This has been her celebration tactic since 2016, as her focus is to cultivate and develop children in ways that they may not get the opportunity to experience.

In 2019, she created "TuTu's & Bow Ties," an annual fashion show to guide children to go beyond what they see and make their dreams a reality!

Lady Gilmore has been happily married to Deacon Gilmore for 49 years and enjoys her family life with son Grant and several grandchildren.
