Alex Smith learned early on that the separation of your parents, who are the foundation of your childhood, quickly knocks you off your feet! While there is an underlying impression that children are resilient, this is an often-used excuse. Even with a phenomenal dad, and a mother who was an example of holding onto hope in the Lord in the midst of trial, Alex still found herself navigating the rocky path of trauma. Walking into school distraught everyday while in 7th Grade, she found grounding in her friendships and a safe place with her homeroom teacher. Though her parents found reconciliation by the end of her 7th Grade year, Alex suffered the residual effects of secondary emotions such as anger, embarrassment, and insecurity. She needed to hear that she was still loved. For those navigating the difficult path of trauma, join us to hear from Alex the ways that we can all hold onto hope in the face of trial.**Stay connected:**- Website: www.lovehimlovethem.org- Linktree: https://linktr.ee/lhlt- Facebook: /lovehimlovethemFor inquiries, reach out at linda@lovehimlovethem.org.#FindingGroundinginFriendship #APlaceofSafety #ParentalLove #ChildofDivorce #AlexSmith #FriendshipMatters #SafetyInRelationships #SupportiveConnections #DivorceJourney #HealingThroughFriendship #LoveAfterDivorce #EmotionalSupport #ChildhoodHealing #StrengthInFriendship #LifeAfterDivorce #MentalWellness #FamilyDynamics #Resilience #FindingYourTribe #HeartfeltSupport #LHLT #LoveHimLoveThem
