Jesus once asked his disciples, 'who do people say I am?' They answered some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.' Jesus then made it personal and asked them 'But who do you say I am?' As we enter Holy Week and the final days of Jesus' life on earth, let's mingle with the Jerusalem crowd who initially welcomed Jesus into Jerusalem, his arrival had the whole city in an uproar and everyone had an opinion on who this person was or might be - the question on everyone's lips, therefore, was 'Who is this?' At some point in all our lives, we are faced with a similar question, who do we say Jesus is? A Prophet? A moral teacher? A heretic? The Son of God? Who is Jesus? Today we will consider different responses of people within the crowd trying to figure it out and in doing so contemplate for ourselves who we believe Jesus is?
