April is The Month of The Military Child! But did you know that it is also Child Abuse Prevention Month? On today's special episode, Tracy and Jasmine discuss some of the common misconceptions, causes and consequences of Child Abuse. Jasmine is given a demonstration of just how easy it is to cause Shaken Baby Syndrome and what the consequences are for the child and for the parent. They also discuss the fact that Texas law requires any bystander or witness to report child abuse or risk being charged themselves. Fort Bliss Army Community Service provides classes on this subject for free to individuals and units on this installation.
