In episode 5 of the Gift_Ed series... Kent discusses the importance of spirituality and character over appearance and personality. He uses the metaphor of a tool, specifically an axe, gifted to him to illustrate the power of faith.
He emphasises the importance of character and the works accomplished through the Holy Spirit rather than superficial attributes. He cites scripture passages from Luke 3 and Isaiah, discussing the identity received through the Holy Spirit and how Jesus fulfilled his assignment given by God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Kent shares about the inseparability of the Spirit of God from our lives and encourages incorporating more of it in our day-to-day. He cites a quote from Roy Hession, stating that the Spirit's fullness is God's gift during our defeat and not a reward for our faithfulness. He reminds us that the disciples received the Spirit when they proved themselves as cowards, hiding behind barred doors and that God's Spirit can penetrate any barriers in our lives.
