Irene shares her story about leaving nursing for a while to pursue a career in drug and alcohol counseling, and how she eventually got into psychiatric care. Molly gives a synopsis of her nursing career in the California State Prison system, inpatient and outpatient psych, and hospice care and why she decided go back to school to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. They talk a little about their family history of mental health and addiction to explain that mental illness impacts everyone.
