Welcome back!
This is episode 15 of the #MasFutbolPodcast!
Join us as we sit down with Yoli Zamarripa on a Sunday morning to dabble into the art of coaching. She is a young coach who is passionate about the sport and helping at Northwest Classen High School, not only on the pitch but also in the classroom as an English Language Learner (ELL) teacher. We discuss how Yoli got started with the game and how she moved from striker to goalkeeper. We go from the days at Real Cuervo FC to the Middle School trials at Taft and then the High School game at Northwest Classes. We also discuss her time at Southern Nazarene University and how that went for her and how it shaped her to become a coach. We learn about the steps she is taking to help the girl’s soccer program at Northwest Classen reach its true potential. She talks to us about the blessing and curse of having a huge number of kids tryout and how she deals with those numbers. We dabble into what is going on around the world like the scandal involving Mason Greenwood, the soldout Women’s Classico, and the World Cup Qualifiers. Thank you for tuning in ⚽️
