Strong and healthy Christians and churches are predicated on some common threads. In this text, Paul communicates three of these truths that are foundational for established believers and churches. Faith and love go hand-in-hand together. Thessalonica is proving themselves a church that is committed to growing mature faith and nurturing a loving community. As a result, the apostle encourages them to continue their pursuit of holiness as well. These threads... faith, love, and holiness... are essential to spiritual health. The same is true today. We need deeper spiritual roots, a gospel community, and a real and relentless pursuit of holiness!
