The Gospel is the gospel of suffering! In this second message from the "Standing Firm" series in Thessalonians, Pastor Joey looks at the integrity of the gospel as preached and modeled by those who planted the church in Thessalonica. The gospel didn't come in flattery or eloquence. Instead the Good News came with conviction and the power of the Holy Spirit often in spite of the trials, persecution, and less than impressive presentation. The modern church needs to be cautious to never allow entertainment to be the priority! We should pursue excellence, but also leave room for God to do whatever He chooses.
