D&I is a topic (rightfully) in the thoughts of most businesses right now, so Talent Acquisition have a huge role to play both in terms of making sure the process of bringing new talent into a business is done the right way and also making sure that authentic D&I initiatives being implemented by businesses are easily accessible to potential future employees.

Garry Clarke-Strange, Experienced Inclusion & Diversity and Talent Acquisition Leader



Originally from Dublin, Garry spent six years working in a number of operational roles within the travel industry. He was based across the Mediterranean before moving to Manchester 15 years ago to focus on his career in Human Resources. Working for brands like Ticketmaster and Live Nation Entertainment, Thomas Cook and Virgin Care his experience varies from Inclusion & Diversity to Talent Acquisition to HR systems. His ‘why’ is People; how they are engaged into joining an organisation, how they are developed and retained once onboard.



As a leader, he believes success is achieved through collaborative working and his role is to motivate his teams to achieve their goals. He has led on Employer Brand, HR system implementation and business change projects. During his recent time at MAG a focus on Inclusion and Diversity initiatives at MAG led to the creation of a refreshed strategy and vision paving the way for change towards a culture of Everyday Inclusion.

Reece has 5 years of recruitment experience starting in agency for 3 years before moving to internal. He made the transition because he wanted to make an impact in the way companies attracted and attain the best talent in the market. His main passions are Diversity, Belonging and Inclusion. Being an underrepresented person himself, he has experienced discrimination in his life and being in the position he is, he wants to help empower diverse communities to have an equal opportunity in life, specifically when it comes to the working world.
