In the fourth episode of A Pint Of Interest, we sit down and grab a pint with William Clouston.
William Clouston is the leader of the Social Democratic Party, otherwise known as the SDP. The SDP has seen a recent rise in support over the past year, particularly with the current ongoing pandemic and lockdown restrictions. They identify as being left leaning on economic issues but right on social ones, so we were definitely keen to find out a little more about where William and the SDP sat on some current issues facing the UK.
We got William's take on some of the key SDP policies and what their opinion is on the lockdown, the planned budget and whether the court ruling on Shamima Begum was the right one or not!
