It was Rivalry Week people, and hopefully y'all didn't miss out. Because it was AN ABSOLUTE SPECTACLE!
Previews: First off, who the hell expected what we saw from Michigan putting up 42 and WINNING BY TWO TDS over Ohio State for the first time since 2011? Jim Harbaugh gets the monkey off his back and finally delivers his first-ever win as head coach of Michigan over their mortal enemy in the Buckeyes. But even if you're looking for close games, this week had you covered. Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State? Nailbiter! Texas Tech vs. Baylor? Heart Attack waiting to happen! And Alabama vs Auburn in what was a legendary thriller among thrillers for the Iron Bowl! Four overtimes, and all the while, every moment was so intense it felt palpable.
Recaps: Now we have the Conference Championships lined up ready to go. A couple of rematches will be coming our way, including Baylor vs. Oklahoma State for the Big-12 title, after Oklahoma State knocked them off the first time around 24-14. Oregon will also have another shot to redeem themselves against Utah in the Pac-12 Championship, after the shellacking they succumbed to just two weeks prior. Michigan will not only be facing Iowa and their formidable defense for the first time this season, but their college football playoff chances are very much on the line if they don't secure the win. But the granddaddy of them all this week, the game of games HAS to be Georgia vs. Alabama, in what could be a preview of what's to come in the national title game IF Alabama were to prevail the first time around.
