While going through her personal challenges, she still managed to reach success in her career. Idalina is an award winning producer and director with over 10 years of experience in film and television. She has produced, directed and written several films, documentaries, music videos and television programs in North America and Europe. As a meisner trained actor and accomplished photographer, she took ownership of her own career in 2008 when she founded and became the artistic director of Nightshade Productions, an independent film production company in London, England. There, she produced her first short film, Invaded, which travelled the festival circuit in England and Portugal. In 2010, Idalina founded ‘A Film Company’ where she produced her first documentary, All She Wrote Anthology. The film follows several female graffiti artists from around the world, and is currently distributed by the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Center, and available to stream on Opprimetv.com. It has been selected for the Global Lift off network film festival, The Toronto International Women Film Festival as well as the LA Femme film festival, where it was nominated for best documentary, and has been screened in Montreal and South Africa. The five-part anthology also aired on FIBE TV 1, a platform dedicated to promoting the work of Toronto-based artists.Her television experience includes working on Future Legends, My Job Rocks, and The Underground Music Scene.
