I have always been a big fan of strong female protagonists, but nothing beats reading the real thing. It was amazing to read about Azeema, Rojda, Znarin, and Nowruz. Women whom I would have not heard of their bravery and courage otherwise. A great non-fiction read to add to your list this fall.
