Zeenat recently went along to the Churchill Theatre in Bromley to see and review the play (for the Bromley Buzz Podcast), Marble Cake performed by two wonderful actors, Olivia Penhallow and Nathaniel Allen. The impact of the play was profound and highlighted deep insights into two estranged dual-heritage siblings that are reunited after eight months, forcing them to reflect on their opposing perspectives of the world. They really get to the heart of how not talking about, not listening, and communicating issues can truly impact and separate family members.
The one-hour, intense play tackles a range of issues, which are still found today, on multi-ethnic identity, family dynamics, abandonment (by their father), and the challenges faced with their mother suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
Zeenat could not resist having the opportunity to interview these two wonderful actors and have them featured not only on the Bromley Buzz but also here on the Mindset Matters talk radio show.
