Silence is not the language of love
For love must speak with heart and soul
As cold sullen nights pass us by
Love should cuddle up and console
When the sky is cloudy, forests dark
Love keeps flying with a broken wing
Quells deep, murky fears in our soul
Fills our deserts with wildflowers, spring
For who am I, if I am not yours
Love should reassure a wavering heart
With vivid crayons, re-colour our world
Flow again, with river of twilight stars
Does it matter if you are my first or last
Love should rebuild, embrace our dark
Light up where no sun bothers to shine
Cherish our flaws, un-hide our scars
