REd Flag, REd Flag! What does "Red Flag" mean to you???
Well Now that I am 53 a red flag does not hold the same meaning as it did when I was younger. When I was younger i didn't have any set in stone boundaries yet. I didn't have any life experiences yet. I was handicapped and stayed home for the first 26 years of my life! I moved in with my first real boyfriend at 28 and we didn't know what autonomy was we were terribly codependent! Red Flag Red flag!
In my 30's I still wasn't aware what a red flag was and I believe now I know what they are. They are the much needed boundaries people need to navigate a relationship! A red flag for me may not be the same for another person, for example for me I do not want to be controlled by another human being, told what to do, coerced in any way. Another person may feel loved in a situation like that.
A universal red flag would be someone who calls you fat, ugly, loser etc. It is frowned on in work cultures and an individual red flag would be eating styles for example or fitness preferences come be with Tik Tok sensation and diet abolitionist Kitty Rebellion and the producer of the show!
