Welcome to episode 5 of The Unpacked Podcast!
In this episode we discuss the recent purchases we have made in the collecting world, as well as questioning some of the knowledge people are providing to other collectors on social media. We start todays episode with a chat about some of the recent purchases we have both made to our own personal collections. Jack discusses the addition of some beautiful autograph and autograph and relic dual cards he has recently added to his collection, for some very good prices. What makes these cards even better is that they all mean something to Jack, whether they be a player who has played for QPR or a player he has seen play live! Jack also talks about a number of Futera purchases which look absolutely superb and take pride of place in his collection. Toby meanwhile discusses the addition of several of the new Match Attax Extra Match-Worn Shirt cards to his collection, why he is on a mission to get all 17 of the cards produced and how he is doing with his chasing down of the missing cards! Toby also discusses the addition of two Match Attax Extra autograph cards to his set and why he is so pleased with these! The second half of the podcast is dedicated to a lively and passionate conversation about some of the new people coming into the hobby and the damage they are doing to it, particularly around the lack of knowledge they display and why they shouldn’t be advising other collectors on cards and collections they know very little about!
