We all have tasks that we hate or dislike doing. For me one of those tasks was cleaning. It used to cause many issues and friction when I would have to clean the house.
Since my wife and I changed our living situation at the beginning of the year we were required to clean the whole house every Saturday. So with this I decided it was time to flip my perspective and take David Meltzer's advice and infuse purpose into the task like he does.
So now I use this one to two hour task and I make sure that I put my all into it. By doing so I am working hard for fitness, but also using this time to focus my mind on other tasks such as, podcast development, things I want to write about, or mental planning my family's future.
It has really enabled me to be more efficient and flipping a negative into a positive is huge. Take a listen and let me know what you think.
