We live in a world where it is so easy to pretend. It’s easy to present ourselves in a light that looks positive, yet internally we feel awful. You might be surprised to know your brain is hardwired to employ this “toxic positivity” to protect you, but in fact saying “I’m fine” to how you are doing might not be serving you the way you think. In today’s episode, join me in evaluating toxic positivity in our culture, the effect it has upon us, and how we might shift our response from “I’m fine” to “I'm not doing okay, and there’s nothing wrong with that”.
