In a move no one expected, the St. Louis Cardinals have fired Mike Shildt after 3+ seasons as manager. Cardinals Director of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak cited "philosophical differences" as the reason for the decision. Shildt went 252-199 in his tenure with 3 playoff appearances in his 3 full seasons. Craig is flabbergasted, and needed a place to think talk it out.
