As we enter in to our third contemplative chat on prayer, may you take time to listen and learn the voice of the one who calls you beloved. The world tries to keep your attention and energy while God waits patiently for you to come and sit with him. Today, may you draw close and hear his voice calling you.
Ponder:
- Is there a time when I notice Jesus calling to me to sit and rest with him?
- Do I notice a nudge from God or the Holy Spirit when I am in certain situations?
- Have I found a way to turn the noises of the world down so I can hear God?
- Where, what location causes me to feel closest to God?
- Jesus used the word “come” when Peter was in the boat and Jesus was walking on the water. What word does He use when he call you?
