Spiritual things always approximate themselves in the material realm, even in the physical body. The kind of life people appropriates for themselves in the soul bears influence on the body with time. These traits or tendencies are passed on to the next generation. Everyone is therefore born with acquired evil tendencies based on their genealogy. These evil tendencies are backed by strong demonic forces which influence the course of a person’s life. Though these tendencies are not evils credited to our account, certain steps we take out of free will make us vulnerable to the demonic forces associated with those tendencies – hence, generational barriers. Thus, we must understand the nature of what fights us so that we do not prey into their hands.
In the message, “Generational Barriers, Part 1”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter gives an exposition on the type of spiritual barrier that result from the genealogy we hail from. He gives indicators, with practical examples, of how to identify and steer clear of these generational barriers.
