Our contact with knowledge in the external is the call of the Lord onto internal knowledge; a call to know Him in the spirit. As we apply ourselves to the Word of God, we ought to look for this spiritual perception, because it is that which saves. However, as we apply ourselves to this journey, we will be fought. Strong reasonings will come against us; the reality of losing our happiness will glare at us. This fear of loss of happiness can cause us to be stuck in the natural sense of the Word, and eventually cause us to give up the good fight of seeking the Lord in the spirit.
In this series, "Come", Pastor Jeffrey Walter resounds the constant call of the Lord onto anybody who hears true knowledge. To such, the Lord Jesus says, "Come onto me".
In this episode, "Staying the course", he charges us not to give up on our quest to find the Lord in spirit. He further explains that just as the boisterous winds came against Peter in his attempt to respond to the Lord's call, so will we also experience strong winds in our attempt to harken to the Lord's "Come!". Yet, the assurance of victory is that the Lord's hand is outstretched to save us immediately (Matt 14:29-31).
This message will encourage you to charge on. Do not let anything stop you; there is Victory right ahead. Hear the Lord's call, "Come"!
