My childhood was laced with family trips trips to the drive-in for ice cream, and big birthday bashes with gobs of cake and pizza. Into my teens, there were lots of parties, flowing with Surge and other radioactive, packaged goods. (Cheese puffs were my favorite!) With lots of fun times (and equally delicious grub) as a kid, it was no match for the freedom that came in college and beyond...
The delicious cycle of destructive nutrition is the core of how I got to this unhealthy point in my life, perpetuated by people pleasing, self-soothing and ultimately self-sabotage.
In this episode, I dive deep into these memories and findings with my husband, Frank, to identify where my choices contributed to the ongoing feat of losing weight and feigning for all the wrong things.
