In May 1995, Brad attended selection for a small, specialized reconnaissance team in the 75th Ranger Regiment known as the Regimental Recon Detachment. In 1998, Brad deployed to Bosnia and Herzegovina as the sole individual from the 75th Ranger Regiment to deploy in support of operations against Persons Indicted for War Crimes (PIFWCS). In September of 1998, Brad attended and successfully completed the assessment and selection course for Delta Force and in May of 1999, he attended the almost yearlong OTC (Operator Training Course).
