A time when rivals had respect for one another even if they disagreed.
When Ferdinand Marcos Jr and Kris Aquino met on a now defunct tv network RPN9 on show long forgotten it showed something that in the past was a virtue of Philippine politics from the times of old when there was mutual respect as a mater of principal between differing opinions a return to civility. As a young reporter I covered the event for a now only digital broadcaster - t'was an interesting time as between Kris on 9 then and Marimar it was a different time.
A lot of hope back then in the 90's of that era and different times that came forward. Much has changed and the mutual discourse and respect we had then seems now sadly missing.
