If he has a say and gets elected Curtis Sliwa has said his next police commissioner as mayor he would select would be a Latino as many positions in the city government are being kept for other groups while discriminating against the latino candidates and that has to stop and will stop in Sliwa run city hall.

NY Daily News reports "mayoral candidate Curtis Sliwa says New York’s next police commissioner should be a career NYPD cop, preferably Latino. He wouldn’t indicate who he is eyeing for the job but said he’s  impressed with former Chief of Patrol Fausto Pichardo, who retired last  year following a row with Mayor de Blasio."
