A Commonwealth Games Bronze medalist in the 100 yard sprint; A Rugby Union career which began in Randwick as a lightning quick winger before representing the Wallabies in 6 tests; A switch to Rugby League in the early 60s, notching 153 first grade games and winning 3 premierships with the South Sydney Rabbitohs alongside legends such as Bob McCarthy and their inspirational captain, John Sattler, with a never-before-heard perspective on THAT broken jaw incident in the 1970 NSWRL Grand Final; 11 games for the NSW Blues and 8 tests for the Kangaroos; Only the 4th person in Australian history to become an international representative for Australia in three separate sports; 17 years in politics; Awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia Medal in 1992; and finally being inducted into the Australian Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
