Dr. Tavara Johnson interviews Dr. Laura Dorsey. Dr. Dorsey is the CEO of LLD Consulting. LLD Consulting specializes in taking your voice and the message you want to convey and creating that written component used in publications, speeches, oral presentations, and marketing and advertising. We also assist with sharing writing strategies for book manuscripts and magazine articles. Services also include ghostwriting and editing services. LLD Consulting’s clients range from Bob Beamon, Olympic gold medalist, attorneys, authors, and entrepreneurs, both for-profit and non-profit.
Professor Dorsey is a prior educational professional and community liaison. She has a wide-ranging background in educational administration and corporate management. In addition, she has served as a University Academic Cabinet Member, SME General Education & English, and Area Chair of Academic Writing and General Studies in the College of Humanities. Prior to her academic career, Dorsey had a very extensive career in financial services, retiring as the Assistant Vice President, directly responsible for merger/acquisitions, strategic planning, development, budgeting, and forecasting.
She is a special chair of Education and Mentoring in Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc; Professional Development Committee Member and 2021 Protégé of the Year of American Businesswomen’s Association (ABWA); member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).
Her philanthropic work includes Southern Christan Leadership Conference (SCLC) Prince Georges County MD, Board of Directors; Infinite Scholars Program, Vice President of Mission and Engagement; Central Florida Diaper Bank (CFLDB), Board Treasurer; Clarita’s House Outreach Ministry (CHOM), Public Relations Board Member; and Youth Empowerment Project (YEP), Board Member.
Professor Dorsey’s academic and professional career has led her to become a sought-out speaker on various subjects.
