Greetings, fellow listeners. My parents and I step out of the comfort zone in El Casa de Santiago and into the welcoming of the residence of previous podcast guest Mariano Oliver. Mariano invited us over to his house for dinner on the weekend to return the favor of us inviting him over to our house for lunch last month. He spoiled us with all things Italian from Bolognese, garden salad, bread rolls, Mencia 2019 red wine, and tiramisu and espresso as the finishing touch. Afterwards, we recorded ourselves on the voice memo app on my phone conversing about the exquisite interior decorating of his home, the amount of books he has stashed and how much knowledge he has gained from reading them, the big bombshell he drops about moving out of his house at the end of the month to work at his new job as a wine connoisseur in South Miami and having his home occupied by a family living in our gated community who I've never known until now, and just dishing about our love of "The Godfather" after seeing the 50th anniversary screening last month with my parents and loving out on old showbiz and pop culture as the two old school souls that we are.
