Description

In tonight's episode we discuss #interracialrelationships. Starting our discussion with some of the benefits and the challenges that go along with interracial dating. We then push a little bit deeper speaking to the role that #fetishism may play in interracial relationships, and the harms that come along with it. Bringing up how #colorism, #texturism, and #featurism relate to interracial dating and personal preferences based off of societal #beautystandards. We dissect the solution to #blackwomen and our dating options when it comes to dating within or outside of our race, presenting a unique #feminist argument put forth by #ralphrichardbanks for why black women should in fact date outside of their race. Lastly, we express our own opinions on interracial relationships and how we navigated the #datingscene in #college. Essentially, concluding that there is something to be said about not wanting to teach or educate a partner outside of your race and a want to preserve your culture and community. But, there is also something to be said about pursuing relationships outside of your race and the multitude of benefits that comes with that. Overall we argue in favor of kindness, commitment, and upholding each others values being pivotal to any relationship--interracial or not.
