Let's "prepare our minds for action" as we continue to "set our hope fully on the grace of Jesus Christ." This motivational charge begins our study tonight in 1 Peter 1:13-25.
Peter wants all of us to be reminded of the powerful plan of salvation. God foreknew this plan before the world began. This knowledge should inspire us to love our Lord even more because of the great price He paid to redeem us. This knowledge should also inspire us to strive for holiness in our lives. "Be holy for I am holy," says the Lord.
We conclude today's study with challenging thought: If God foreknew salvation in Christ, did he also plan the tribulation and suffering in the world? Be ready to think deep.
