1John 1:5 tells us that God is Light and in Him is no darkness at all. God being depicted as Light speaks about His holy and perfect nature. Nothing about God coincides with sin. Therefore the people that He calls out of darkness into His marvelous Light should not coincide with sin as well. There are certain qualities that are to be found in the lives of God's children.
