Marcy Langlois has a remarkable story of hope, resilience
and recovery from almost unsurmountable challenges. Starting from early childhood, she underwent more than twenty surgical procedures to address her cleft lip and
palate. As Marcy progressed through Catholic grade school, she then had to confront another layer of
self-discovery: her attraction to girls rather than boys. Confusion and shame about her sexuality reinforced already entrenched beliefs of being worthless and unlovable.
And then began a decade-long struggle with alcoholism that resulted in the loss of employment, devastated relationships, and a battle with chronic illness that nearly cost her life.
But then at the age of 27, her amazing journey of recovery
began by embracing sobriety . Today she lives a life filled with self-love and contentment. She and her wife have cultivated a beautiful, lasting relationship for over twenty years. Professionally, Marcy has achieved remarkable success as a Mortgage Banker and Vice President in the banking industry and now works at a top mortgage banking business.
