I met steamy romance novelist Jane Harvey-Berrick three years ago in Paris when I was there to interview authors at the Festival of New Romance. Hosted by the French Publishing House Hugo & Cie, it was an impressive event. I met Anna Todd (After series), Christina Lauren (The Soulmate Equation, Roomies) and I got to meet Jane and her enigmatic writing partner Stuart Reardon. Stuart is a pro rugby player turned male model. The duo drew quite a crowd. Jane and I would run into each other at breakfast and chat about her life. I felt a kinship, and stayed in touch.
Jane and I chat about how all roads have led to writing, how her characters make themselves heard, and how in 2020 she learned to accept help from friends when she suffered a series of heart-breaking losses.
