There is often a focus on the "fake it until you make it" mentality and there is no better example of this backfiring than Elizabeth Holmes, former founder and CEO of Theranos, that was developing a machine that could run several hundred laboratory tests from a few drops of blood. Holmes made headlines for her drastic rise and fall from grace after she was charged with fraud that has been the topic of newspaper articles, books, and documentaries.
