In this episode of ChristianWritersBookstore YouTube, author and founder Michael Furlonger shares on the importance of Bible translations and interpretations. While he encourages the reading and sharing of the scripture, an inaccurate interpretation is not appropriate.
In the example given, an author shared that 3000 people put their faith in Jesus Christ because of the miracle of Peter and John healing a lame man at the Temple (Acts 3:1-10 - https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=acts+3%3A1-10&version=NIV). However, the 3000 who turned to Christ is shared in the chapter earlier after hearing Peter preach.
37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”

While there is much in the scriptures that have often been the cause of much disagreement, ChristianWritersBookstore aims to be a home for all of them, but this doesn't include a complete disregard for appropriate study and interpretation.
This is why it will not allow The Passion Translation whereas one man, Brian Simmons, believes that God told him to translate scripture. Imagine a husband and wife talking with someone and every time the husband spoke says, "What he really means is...." Is that not offensive?
