Intro
1. Can you share a bit about your faith and your church upbringing?
2. You shared with me a bit about yourself and something interesting is your approach to The Prodigal Son Jesus speaks of in Luke 15. For those who don’t know, this is a parable Jesus tells the religious Pharisees about two sons of a father (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=luke+15%3A+11-32&version=NIV) This is a great story for all of us, who like that youngest son, have lived in sin and return to our Heavenly Father and he restores us. Samantha, you say that you don’t like that son. You prefer the good son. The one that stayed home, worked the father’s field. Can you share a bit on your views of this parable?
3. This story brings us to you and your story. You and your husband decided to embrace these two children from Russia. In one of your blog posts, you share the frightening reality that children in these orphanages often end up in prostitution or drug rings. Can you share a bit about this process?
a. The Father Figure
4. Did you ever get so tired that you just wanted to give up?
5. Is it hard to pick a child?
6. Can you share a bit about your book?
7. You also speak at Pro Life events, and you mention talking to teen girls about dating, saving sex for marriage and body image. Do you feel like the church needs to take more of an active discussion on these issues?
a. Sex Talk
