Description

In This Episode:

Growing up, we were made to believe that lighter-skinned women were more beautiful than darker-skinned women. Today, that is no longer the case. We have seen a rise in the appreciation of Dark Skin. Women are proud of their black skin and their amazing melanin.

However, we have once again lost the narrative because now, dark skin is the only acceptable form of African skin. According to today's standards, if you aren't dark then you aren't truly African. Wrong!

Some Africans are very light, some are extremely dark. We have blonde hair and colored eyes too.

You cannot put Africans in a box. We are a diverse people.
