Meet my new friend Andrew who served in the Canadian and U.S. Armed Forces. He now serves in a different way, in municipal government.
As the Chief of Staff at Town of Oakville, Andrew and I had a powerful conversation, re-thinking leadership. We were able to draw from his experiences in the military and politics, and talk about what true leadership means - qualities that go beyond titles and accolades.
Andrew has learned that genuine respect, camaraderie, and a relentless pursuit of excellence are foundational qualities that can transform communities and inspire future leaders.
I was excited to hear about transferable leadership and personal growth skills/lessons that he has carried over from his military background to spearheading strategic initiatives in municipal government.
If this sounds bad ass, it's because Andrew IS BAD ASS!
You don't want to miss this.
