Hey and welcome to another episode at the We are Podcast! You might have noticed that we are posting this on Sunday instead of Monday or Friday- we decided to go a little off schedule since this is such an important topic (we were originally going to post this on the actual day, Saturday, which is when we filmed it, but we ran into some technical difficulties when trying to post it). We want to take a moment to recognize the impact 9/11 had on our country, and the lasting effects it still has 20 years later. We share some stories of survivors, give some background on the terrorist group that organized it, and talk about the overall effect it had on our country. Along with this, we also discuss the heroism and bravery of people and the strength and resilience that our country and humankind has to be able to band together and support each other even after an event as tragic as this. Enjoy, and we would also love to hear any personal experiences you or anyone you know have regarding 9/11 if you are willing to share!
