Description

This week on Real Friends Who Read Books we step into the past to discuss the classic gothic romance novel (although we are all skeptical on the romance part), Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

Rebecca in one sentence:

Erks: I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again: you know what’s better than being in a shitty relationship? BEING ALONE!!!!!!!!! Less chance they’ll kill your confidence or worse, kill you!!!!

Courtney: As I sit here in my pod-closet, surrounded by the clothes I wear on a daily basis (with the exception of my wedding dress that sits safely in its garment bag), pondering the thought of what my one sentence summary for the podcast, one thought comes to mind: I don’t have the greatest attention span for such descriptive writing.

MP: He got away with murder and still no one seems to care CAN’T GET OVER IT

Coming up next we've got:

11/23- The Body is Not an Apology by Sonya Renee Taylor

12/7- A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
