In today’s episode, we’re jumping into another two-part series for a skin condition known asrosacea. Rosacea is a chronic, inflammatory facial skin condition that commonly affects the central face with episodic or constant redness, papules, pustules on the nose, chin, cheeks, and forehead. It can affect people of all ages, but most often affects men and women between 30 and 50 years of age. Rosacea is a skin condition that is often confused for acne, especially papulopustular rosacea, which is one of the four rosacea subtypes. But rosacea is quite different from acne and can be diagnosed clinically. There are several therapies that can be used to improve rosacea symptoms and ultimately quality of life.
Join us in today’s episode to learn more about rosacea and its common triggers, the different subtypes, how rosacea is diagnosed, and what treatments are commonly prescribed or recommended.
