Sometimes believers take Jesus for granted. We say we desire deeper relationships with God, or want to experience His presence more, but often the greatest times of fellowship with God are during times of suffering. We seek after God but we want Him on our terms. We seek the Comforter but avoid discomfort. Without knowing our own weakness we will never truly embrace God's grace and be strong in Him. Without truly being captured and captivated by the beauty of Christ, a person will only go so far. And then when dificulty or discomfort comes we'll turn from Him and turn to our own ability to comfort ourselves. Do we want to follow Jesus even if it costs us everything we have? How much do we really want Jesus? Will you count the cost and follow Him?
