Aim is intimately connected to meaning. Too often we feel our lives are aimless. The Christian, however, can connect to a transcendent aim.
Paul teaches us in 2 Corinthians 5:9 that in all things we ought to aim to please Jesus. We please God as we are conformed to the image of Christ, to enjoy God, love others, and subdue sin.
