Description

We continue looking at the characteristics of the Kingdom Age. We sometimes call it the Millennium. We saw four of those yesterday. There are dozens of them, I suppose, but I want to quickly move to five more this time.

Starting with the description of fullness of the spirit in Joel 2:28, it says, “It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Sometimes this passage of Scripture is hijacked and misapplied, but this is speaking of the Kingdom Age. “It will come about, after this,” so, after the Tribulation Period and the Kingdom Age starts, the Spirit will be poured out on the earth and so, the world will know of a life where the Holy Spirit is in charge and the Holy Spirit is poured out on humanity. It will be a time of the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Secondly, in Isaiah, and Isaiah once again has a lot of material on this subject. Isaiah 2:4, tells us it is a time of peace, it says, “And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.” So, we have a picture of the peace that the world has been chasing after since the beginning of time and has never been able to find it. How many hundreds or even thousands of peace treaties have been written over the ages? How many people have tried to bring about peace in one way or another and yet wars and terror and all sorts of awful things continue, but the day will come when that will be gone and that will be in the Kingdom Age. It will be the age of peace and there will be no war during that thousand-year time. We have already seen at the end of the thousand-year time when Satan is released there is another battle, but during that thousand-year time what we have on earth is peace . . .
